
Sam Jenny was an auto salesman from Highland, who
was rated as one of the world's best shooters, both in trap and live flyers.
He was enshrined in the ATA Hall of Fame in 1999, he is also in the Illinois
State Trap Hall of Fame. His first major awards was at the 1922 Great Lakes
Zone shoot, where he won the all-around title.
He also won five Grand American trophies during
his shooting career. He was on the 1929
All American
team and in 1926 his .9060 doubles average led all
Illinois shooters. He was a member of the 1927 U.S.
team at the shoot in Havana Cuba. Other shooting
titles he won - 1930 Illinois
handicap champion, 1932
Illinois doubles champ - 1936 International Flyer
champ at a interstate shoot in Kansas and a member of the 4 man Illinois team
who won the flyer cup race - his last grand trophy was in 1932, high gun
handicap.
His son (Sam Jenny) will attend the shoot and
also Sam Jenny III, and Sam Jenny IIII.
